In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Ferreiros, Prozelo e Besteiros. The population in 2011 was 3,212,〔(Instituto Nacional de Estatística )〕 in an area of 2.65 km².〔(Eurostat )〕 ==History== Ferreiros received its foral (charter) in 1514.
